That creates a database platform! Once the database platform is created it can be selected whenever it is needed. Updating the platform will update any setup that uses it. With a properly setup database platform, messages in the [Messages view](https://docs.intrepidcs.com/vspy-3-documentation/3.9.12/vehicle-spy-main-menus/main-menu-spy-networks/messages-view) will be decoded, signals can be selected to plot or view, and VehicleScape DAQ will be able to interact with all types of data.
