# Tutorial: Configuring and Using CoreMini

### Overview

This tutorial will show how to setup and use CoreMini for stand-alone operation and logging. The end result of this example will be a stand-alone application that will log data and send a J1979 RPM request. Steps to extract the data stored on the micro SD card in the device will also be covered.\

To achieve this goal, the following steps will be taken.

1. Create a J1979 RPM Request.
2. Create a function block to log data.
3. Load the CoreMini to the hardware.
4. Extract the data.
5. Review the collected data.
