# Message Capture Method: Stop Options

When using the [Message Capture](/vspy-3-documentation/3.9.17/vehicle-spy-main-menus/main-menu-measurement/vehiclescape-daq/vehiclescape-daq-standalone-logging-tab/standalone-logging-collections-and-methods/collections-and-methods-message-capture-method.md) method for [Standalone Logging](/vspy-3-documentation/3.9.17/vehicle-spy-main-menus/main-menu-measurement/vehiclescape-daq/vehiclescape-daq-standalone-logging-tab.md) within VehicleScape DAQ, the choice of [Start Option](/vspy-3-documentation/3.9.17/vehicle-spy-main-menus/main-menu-measurement/vehiclescape-daq/vehiclescape-daq-standalone-logging-tab/standalone-logging-collections-and-methods/collections-and-methods-message-capture-method/message-capture-method-start-options.md) determines the Stop Option choices that appear. Table 1 summarizes the three options, shows the Start Options that each is associated with, and contains links to detailed help pages for all three.
